Trails, Open Spaces, and Parks

Explore • Respect • Connect

At the Historic Green Mountain Falls Foundation, our love for the outdoors runs deep. Every trail, stream, and wildflower meadow are part of the story that makes our mountain town so special.

Whether you’re a resident, seasoned hiker, or someone looking for a quiet moment in nature, the trails, parks, and open spaces are yours to discover. Over 20 miles of trails provide access to national forest lands and wind through a landscape we’re proud to protect. Every visit is a chance to connect with the land, the community, and yourself.

This is your guide to the natural beauty of the surrounding area, complete with trail maps, details, and tips for exploring responsibly.

We recommend downloading or printing the maps below before you hike; cellular service can be a challenge on our local trails. You can also find copies of the maps at the Green Box Workshop.

Leave No Trace Program

The Historic Green Mountain Falls Foundation is proud of our partnership with the Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics, an organization whose mission aligns perfectly with our value of conservation through connection.

We incorporate the Seven Principles of Leave No Trace into community-based programs, local partnerships, and outdoor stewardship efforts. Together with Leave No Trace, we’re working to protect what makes Green Mountain Falls exceptional for today and for generations to come. When we all do our part, nature thrives. And when nature thrives, so do people.
